Originally from Mechanicsburg, PA, soprano Sofia Mains is currently pursuing her Bachelors of Music at Eastman School of Music, where she studies with Katherine Ciesinski.
This summer, Sofia makes her role debuts as Barbarina (Le Nozze di Figaro) with Vienna Opera Academy (August 2025) and Papagena/First Spirit (The Magic Flute) with Arizona Lyric Theatre (May 2025). She also joins Finger Lakes Opera as an Apprentice Artist where she will sing Jeannette (cover)/Chorus (The Anonymous Lover). |

APPRENTICE ARTIST | Finger Lakes Opera
In July, Sofia joins Finger Lakes Opera in Rochester, NY as one of six Apprentice Artists for their 2025 summer season. During her time with FLO, Sofia will perform in outreach concerts in the Rochester community, sing in a recital at ArtisanWORKS, and perform as Jeannette (cover)/Ensemble in FLO's production of The Anonymous Lover (Bologne).
